Having All the Answers, Knowing Some of the Questions

I read something like this decades ago, and don't remember where.
You'll loose sight of God when you sip from the cup of knowledge.

Keep drinking: You'll find Him waiting for you at the bottom.
I do not present this as serious theology.

On the other hand, I think there's a bit of truth lurking in there.

Having done time in college, I've seen folks who seemed to have lost sight of God when they started taking a close look at His creation.

I didn't - but I was perhaps a bit more willing to think that I didn't have all the answers yet.

I still don't. Have all the answers, that is.

But I think I'm honing in on what some of the important questions are.

Makavetis,

Thanks for the good words. Your blog, Spartacus (makavetis.blogspot.com), was a surprise: El Greco, followed by François Mulard. A good surprise.

Although I take the art of folks like Walt Kelley (Pogo), Norman Rockwell, and people who haven't 'made their name' yet seriously - it's good to pay attention to the established 'greats.'

Thanks for drawing my attention to your blog.

What's That Doing in a Nice Catholic Blog?

From time to time, a service that I use will display links to - odd - services and retailers.

I block a few of the more obvious dubious advertisers.

For example: psychic anything, numerology, mediums, and related practices are on the no-no list for Catholics. It has to do with the Church's stand on divination. I try to block those ads.

Sometime regrettable advertisements get through, anyway.

Bottom line? What that service displays reflects the local culture's norms, - not Catholic teaching.
