I'm looking forward to not being outside in the heat for an hour each evening.
But I enjoyed the freedom rosary more than I expected to: possibly because of the not-quite-a-hundred neighbors who showed up. I saw more on some evenings than others, which is understandable. Folks have jobs, family commitments: and for some of us, maybe health issues that make the heat more than an inconvenience.
I enjoy writing, but I've been writing a lot over the last two weeks. It will be good to get a little 'time off.'
Apart from maybe part of my Friday 'in the news' post, here's the last 'Fortnight For Freedom' activity I plan on this week:
- "Fortnight For Freedom Wrapup: Photos and Weather"
(July 4, 2012) - "Fortnight For Freedom, June 21 - July 4, 2012: Posts, and 'Closing Thoughts' "
(July 4, 2012) - "Independence Day, 2012: 236 Years of Freedom"
(July 4, 2012)
Idle Hours? Not Me
I've been a 'retired guy' for a few years: not by choice, and that's another topic. Most of that time I've been 'not working,' which isn't the same as whiling away idle hours, vegetating in a hammock or in front of the television.Actually, I was watching more television than usual: until my wife pointed out the situation. She was right, and I'm glad she reminded me of where my time was going.
For the most part, I've been doing something I enjoy: looking up information, sorting it out, and writing about what I learn. I've also returned to an interest in the 'art' end of 3D digital graphics; and 'creative writing.'
Mostly, though, I'd like to keep writing these posts. There's a development in my 'offline' life that may joggle my schedule again: and that's yet another topic.
