Environmental Awareness: Within Reason
I remember the first Earth Day. At the time, I was elated that so many folks were taking environmental concerns seriously.Decades of ecofreaks have made me a trifle cautious about the ecological crisis du jour.
I think one reason that I'm as annoyed as I am with the perennial 'and we're all gonna die!' doomsayers, is that "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" was right - eventually.
I think it's imprudent to get folks used to warnings of impending doom that fizzle. I've posted about environmental concerns, silly and otherwise:
