Haiti: Cholera's Bad, But That's Not Their Only Problem

Cholera's what put Haiti in the news again recently - and that's mentioned on this page. The big problem folks there have is still that earthquake in January of this year. Lots of people killed, a whole lot more displaced, and a significant fraction of the country damaged or destroyed.

For a monumentally poor country: that's not even close to being a good situation.

No pressure, but if you're trying to decide how to contribute to charities - these folks can use help. And there's a link or two on that page for folks who want to give.

We've passed the hat before - collected tens of millions of dollars for our neighbors in Haiti. But even in tough times, I think America is a place where we'll be able and willing to give more.
