Father Sylvester Kleinschmidt's 60th anniversary as priest, Our Lady of the Angels Church. June 3, 2010.
There were a few open spots in the pews: but not many. I squeezed in near the front.

Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. As a rule, we get our work done in ordinary clothes: the 4th Degree is for ceremonial occasions, like this. June 3, 2010.
I think I counted 15 priests up there, including Fr. Kleinschmidt. Definitely over a dozen. June 3, 2010.
There's a lot of parallels here: the same priest who gave the homily at Fr. Kleinschmidt's first Mass gave the homily tonight; Fr. Kleinschmidt's first mass was at this Church - and there was a dinner afterwards then, as there was tonight.
I didn't go, though. There was work to be done.
And, now, there's sleep to be slept. I plan to come back to Fr. Kleinschmidt's 60th again in this blog.
